  Welcome to Liberia. This West African country is unique because; unlike many other countries in Africa, this is a country similar to an island with upwards of 40 percent of its coast being shared with the ocean. Liberia  was founded in the early 1820s as a home for the freed slaves from the United states, becoming Africa's first independent republic in 1847. Along with the indigenous tribes that already inhabited the land, the slaves combined to add to Liberia’s already rich culture, history, language and most importantly food. Here you will find beauty, taste, authenticity and culture all wrapped up and presented on a delicious hot plate.
